Richie Thomason, 66, of Broken Bow, passed away April 17, 2012 in Texarkana. He was born November 9, 1945 in San Angelo, Texas, the son of R.F. “Bud” and Toodie Culwell Thomason. Richie had lived in McCurtain County most of his life and owned Thomason Lumber Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He served on the Excise Board, Kiamichi Counsel and was a former member of the Broken Bow School Board. He enjoyed tending cattle and land and spending time with his family and friends. Richie was preceded in death by his father. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Toodie Thomason of Broken Bow; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Bryden Elliott of Broken Bow; granddaughter, Charity Elliott also of Broken Bow; cousin, Tona Wilson of Tyler, Texas; special cousin Kelly Montgomery; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10am at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Stuckey, Rev. Oscar Wilkie and Pastor Tag Rowan officiating. Donations may be made to the Glover River Cowboy Church Rt 3 Box 356, Broken Bow, OK 74728
