Charlie Woodrow Boone, age 82 passed from this life on Friday, November 24, 2017 at his home in Broken Bow, surrounded by his family. Charlie was born March 3, 1935 in Caddo Gap, Arkansas, the son of the late, Willis Everett Boone and Fannie Marie Smith Boone. He  had lived in the community all of his life. Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Army. Charlie and Helen McNeill Boone were united in marriage on March 3, 1956. Charlie was a member of the Waterin Hole Cowboy Church in Garvin, Oklahoma. Charlie enjoyed listening and dancing to good country music , going to the local music halls and spending time with friends.  He always had a good joke to tell. Charlie was a very giving man. During his life he took in many strangers and helped raise many children besides his own. Charlie cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Fannie Boone; one grandson, Chad Carper and one great granddaughter, Samatha Boone.

He leaves to cherish his memory,  his wife of 61 years, Helen Boone of the home;  children, Larry and Sue Boone of Oklahoma City, Ok., Joy and Bill Taylor of Maysville, Ok., Debbie and Grant Hudson of Eagletown, Ok., Terry and Tonnie Boone of Millerton, Ok., Pat Boone of Broken Bow, Ok., Susie Fennell and Steve Weiler of DeQueen, Ark., Sharon and Lee Percy of Broken Bow, Ok., and Christy Murphy and husband Jeff of Forman, Ark.;  grand children, Summer Cash and husband Steve, Erin Taylor and husband Josh, Jordan Payne and husband Andrew, Jimmy Brawdy, Kimberly Huckaby and husband Steve, Larry Jr. Boone and wife Tiffany, LeAnn and Robert Nelson, Bo Madison, Adam Madison and wife Mary, Scott Madison, Misty Carper, Mandi Hudson, Terry Jr. and wife Brandy Boone, Russell Boone and wife Jennifer, Shawn Boone and wife Kara, James Watson, Tony Watson and wife Andrea, Glen Watson and wife Jaimie, Jeromme Henslee and Stacey Rowan, Jessie Henslee and Kyle Hudgins, Bobby Lawton and husband DeVonta, Jermey Hudson and wife Morgan, Courtney Garrison and husband Elton, Tommy Lewis and wife Raquel , Rachel Sherrin and husband Chad, Steven Curtis, Jaden and Jordan Murphy, Austin and Shondra Curtis and Ferra Watson; great grandchildren, Hailey, Serra, Victoria and Moment Watson, Gunner, Jacob, Dawson and Logan Cash, Jacob Thomason, Nathan Taylor and wife Kylie, Rylee and Jayden Taylor, Kollyns, Karter, Kynzlie and Kendric Payne, Kali and Charlie Brawdy, Camron Kelly, Tristan, Jaexton and Eli Hudson, Aaron VanOrderJr., Brycen and Danion Garrison,Raymond and Santanna Dill, Nathan, Bradley, Brent and Brandon Boone, Kevin, Bo and Lexi, Meliah and  Aaron Madison, Madison Bingham, Zackey and Colton Percy, Stormy Bray, Tristin, Isabella, Braden, Sierra, Shawn, Russell, Raylee and  Reagan Boone, Richard and Michaiah Wright, Eli and Asa Hahn,  Adrian, Jamie and Leah Lewis, Addison Sherrin, Seth and Avery Watson, Sara, Kenadi and Destiny Henslee, Alexis, Bethany, Katelin and Titus Hudgins, Jaxson and Jacie Lawton; great great granddaughter, Abigail Taylor; cousin, Mary Thorton and husband Jerry, two sister in laws, Trish Routh and Effie Sullivan of Idabel; a special thank you to Neighborhood Hospice Caregivers, Alisha, Amber and Kelsie;   a host of other relatives and many special friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with the Bro. Miles Wesner officiating.

Interment will follow at the Tom Cemetery in Tom, Oklahoma.
