Clyde "Gene" Autrey

Clyde "Gene" Autrey Jr., age 61, of Smithville, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home. Gene was born September 27, 1956 in Waldron, Arkansas, the son of the late, Clyde Autrey and Sarah Frost Autrey. Gene and Diane Finley Autrey were united in marriage on August 27, 1981. Gene was a very hard worker. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Octavia. He  enjoyed camping and hunting, working in his yard and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents.

His memory will be forever cherished by his wife of 36 years, Diane Autrey of the home; children, William "Billy" Bailey and wife Robbyn of Smithville, Oklahoma, Cara Moore and husband Johnny of Honobia, Oklahoma, Brian Bailey and wife Paula of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Destiny Bailey of Smithville, Oklahoma; sister, Judy Clubb and husband Joey of Heavner, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Yolanda Wilson and Jody Clubb of Heavner, Oklahoma and Audra Farrar of St. Louis, Missouri; a host of many  special friends.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. till  2:00 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church in Watson, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Watson, Oklahoma,  with the Bro. Todd Webb officiating.

Interment will follow at the Smithville Cemetery in Smithville, Oklahoma.
