David Lee Gibson, age 50, of Santee, South Carolina, formerly of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away June 25, 2017 in Santee, South Carolina. David was born July 19, 1966 in DeQueen, Arkansas the son of J.C. Gibson and Delores Ross Schumann. David was a graduate of Broken Bow High School and went on to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State College where he made the President's Honor Roll each year. He was employed as a truck driver until he became disabled. David had a true love for animals, enjoyed visiting with friends, fishing, hunting, camping, riding his four wheeler, listening to music, watching western movies and was an avid Nascar Racing Fan. He was very close to his family, a caretaker to his parent's and always available to his children. His greatest attribute in life was his attitude and his great sense of humor. David had numerous lifelong friends that he regularly kept in touch with. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

David was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Gibson, grandparents, Lorene and Dave Gibson and Lee Ross.

His memory will be forever cherished by his children, Carleigh Gibson  and Dalton Gibson of Broken Bow, Ok.; his mothers, Delores Schumann and husband Richard of Santee, South Carolina and Beulah Mae Gibson of Idabel; sisters, Kelly Sparkman and husband James Lee of Broken Bow, Ok. and Cleta Mabry and husband Britt of Garvin, Ok.; brothers, Joe Bunn and wife Mary of Hochatown, Ok., Wayne Freeman and wife Marie of Idabel, Ok. and Doug Freeman and wife Connie of Broken Bow, Ok.; cousins, Donna Parker and husband Tim of Redland, Ok., and Debbie Miller and husband Jay of Valliant, Ok.;  numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Ok. with the Pastor Harvey Freeman officiating.
