Dean Stewart

Dean Stewart, age 77, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Broken Bow Health and Rehab in Broken Bow. Dean was born July 19, 1939 in Plunketville, Oklahoma, the son of Quincy Stewart and Bessie Logan Stewart. Dean married the love of his life, Elouise Wakefield Stewart on December 5, 1955 sharing 41years together until her death in 1997 . Dean was an entrepreneur from an early age, owning two of the first Drive In Restaurants in Oklahoma City, a Oldsmobile GMC Dealership in Chandler, Oklahoma, a Chevrolet Dealership in Broken Bow, a Chrysler Plymouth Dodge Dealership in Idabel and multiple used car lots. Dean enjoyed working and meeting people. He served as Broken Bow Chamber President in 1978 . He was a very successful insurance agent and pipeline inspector until his accident in 2015.  Dean enjoyed playing golf, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed socializing, never meeting a stranger and always the more the merrier.  Dean loved his family and always put them first in his life. He will be missed and remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Elouise Stewart; parents, Quincy and Bessie Stewart; daughter, Debbie Williams; great granddaughter Trysta Wyatt and brother, Ronnie Stewart.

His memory will be forever cherished by his children, Deanna Pruhs and husband Dana of Anchorage, Alaska and Howard Dean Stewart of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Danner Pruhs of Anchorage, Michaela Williams of Broken Bow, Kama Stewart of Broken Bow, Jonah Stewart of Broken Bow, Decia Wyatt and husband Eddie of Valliant and Cayden Stewart of Broken Bow; great grandson, Matthew Cole of Valliant; sister in law, Louise Dean of Broken Bow; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow with Olen Hill Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow at the Hochatown Cemetery in Hochatown, Oklahoma.
