Glenn Dale Billy, age 63, formerly of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Glenn was born January 23, 1954 in Talihina, Oklahoma, the son of Clelland Billy and Rose Willie Billy. Glenn attended school in Broken Bow until the 11th grade, moving to Oklahoma City where he graduated from Star Spencer High School. He obtained a Masters Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.  Glenn was employed with the State of Oklahoma for 25 years as a software engineer, until his retirement in 2014.  Glenn enjoyed music and his love for it began at an early age. He played bass on a family album and enjoyed playing his accordion.  His hobbies included playing tennis and stick ball, playing on the original stick ball team, coached by his father, Clelland Billy, which played in Washington DC in 1976 for the Bicentennial Celebration. Glenn represented the Choctaw Nation during Chief David Gardner's tenure. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Michael. One of his favorite trips was going to Washington DC, as a retirement gift from Michael. Highlights of the trip were seeing the Capitol, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Museum and driving to Gettysburg. Glenn loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Clelland Billy; sister, Karen Sue Billy; grandparents, Simon and Hattie Billy and Simon and Laura Willie.

 

His memory will be forever cherished by his son, Michael of Oklahoma City, Ok.;  his mother, Rose Billy of Oklahoma City, Ok.; one sister, Janice Billy McCaulley and husband Marshall of Oklahoma City, Ok.; nieces and nephews, Karen and Steve St. Hilaire, Samuel Brown, Jason Brown and Clayton McCaulley all of Oklahoma City, Ok.; great nieces and nephews, Gracie St. Hilaire, Giana St. Hilaire, Maya Brown, Messiah Brown and Knight Brown; one uncle, Ed Billy of Broken Bow, Ok.; a host of other relatives and many friends.

 

A wake service will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Ok.

 

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Ok. with the Pastor Don Jacob officiating.

 

Interment will follow at the Broken Bow Cemetery in Broken Bow, Ok.
