Helen Joyce Westbrook

Helen Joyce Westbrook, 80, of Broken Bow, passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Memorial Heights Nursing Center in Idabel, Oklahoma. Helen was born June 25, 1936 in Valliant, Oklahoma, the daughter of Bill and Tillie Vickery Richard . Helen and Junior Westbrook were united in marriage on May 19, 1954 and enjoyed 62 years together until his death on August 4, 2016. Helen enjoyed working puzzle books,listening to country music, dancing, playing bingo, going fishing, sewing, taking care of her flowers and spending time with her family and friends. 

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Westbrook; her parents, Bill and Tillie Richard; brothers, Joe Richard, John Richard, Jimmy Richard and Billy Jack Richard.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her children; Jowaun Westbrook of Broken Bow, Wendell Westbrook and wife Debbie of Broken Bow; Debbie Aebischer and husband David of Ringold, Oklahoma and Robbie Simpson and husband Kevin of Ringold; grandchildren, Deanna Matthews, Jody Compton, Michael Westbrook, Jena Nelson, Ryan Westbrook, Jeremy Simpson and Kayla Simpson; great grandchildren, Keely, Lanydon, Dawson, Blaken, John, Rafe, Mackenlyn, Linnea, Khloe and Karson; brothers, Jerry Richard and Josh Richard of Valliant; sister, Patsy Scott of Valliant; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow with Bro. Roy Brown and Bro. Lewis Lee Prewitt officiating.

Interment will follow at the Watson Memorial Cemetery in Broken Bow.
