Jack Smith

Jack Smith, 80, of Clarksville, Texas, formerly of Idabel, Oklahoma, passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas. Jack was born February 28, 1937 in New Hope, Arkansas, the son of Matt Smith and Ida Greathouse Smith. He was affiliated with the Temple Baptist Church in Clarksville, Texas.  Jack enjoyed doing mechanic work, cutting wood, listening to music, telling jokes and spending time with family and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Ida Smith; granddaughter, Melissa Bounds; great grandson, Casen Nelson; sisters, Verniece Smith and Bobbie Mason; brothers, Earl Smith and James Smith.

His memory will be forever cherished by his wife, Linda Collum Smith of the home; daughter, Cindy McPherson and husband Donnie of Clarksville; son, Jackie Smith of Clarksville; grandchildren, Sandy Nelson of Reno, Texas, Hollie Smith, Matt Smith, Michael Smith and Victoria Smith all of Broken Bow, Donnie Smith, Alexis McPherson, Breanna Smith, Jackie Smith and Stanley Bounds of Clarksville, Tiffany Smith of Hugo; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Nora Farley and husband Willie of Sherman, Texas and Ola Mae Rhodes of Ashdown, Arkansas; a host of other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow.
