Staff Sergeant Kelsey Taber Reed, 23 of Clarksville, Texas, went to her heavenly home on, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. Kelsey was born December 6, 1993, the daughter of Mike Reed and Janice Johnson Long. Kelsey was a 2012 graduate of Valliant High School. She enlisted in the United States Air Force proudly serving her country and being promoted to Staff Sergeant while pursuing a medical career.  Kelsey was a member of the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church in Dimple, Texas. She loved people, enjoyed life and always shared that beautiful smile with everyone. Kelsey enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Her passion was playing softball and crossfit.  She touched so many lives  in her short time here on earth. She will be missed by all who knew her and be remembered as a special friend to many.

 

Kelsey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Linda Reed, Phyllis and James Johnson, Anita and James Long and great grandmother, Josie Joiner. 

 

Her memory will be forever cherished by her parents, Janice and Raymond Long of Clarksville, Texas and Mike Reed of Eagletown, Oklahoma; brother, Levi Long of Clarksville, Texas; sisters Kaylona Long and Josie Ward of Clarksville, Texas; a host of other relatives and many special friends.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.  at the Valliant High School Auditorium with the Bro. Dennis McClintic officiating.

 

Interment will follow at the New Haven Cemetery in Dimple, Texas with full Military Honors.
