Lonnie Lee James

Lonnie James, 70, of Broken Bow, passed away, Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Paris, Texas. Lonnie was born October 10, 1946 in Reed Springs, Missouri, the son of Lester James and Ruby Gill James. Lonnie and Darlene Eeds James were united in marriage on June 10, 1971 in Paris, Texas. Lonnie was employed with Weyerhaeuser in Wright City for 34 years. He was affiliated with the Green Chapel Assembly of God Church in the Herndon Community, Wright City, Oklahoma.  Lonnie was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed his time he shared with them.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruby James; brother and sister in law, Herschel and Belle James; sister, Mary Ruth Wilson and mother and father in law, Leonard and Dorotha Eeds.

His memory will be forever cherished by his wife, Darlene of the home; children, Odell "Bullrider" James of Broken Bow, LaDonna Rankins and David Harbour of Broken Bow, Danell Johnson and husband Tim of Moon, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jamie James and wife Katie of Broken Bow, Angel Smith and husband Allen of Broken Bow, Sarah and Tanya Johnson of Moon; great grandchildren, Brantlee Mauldin of Broken Bow, Colter James of Tulsa, Brycen and Dakota James of Broken Bow and Emma Smith of Broken Bow; brothers, Leonard James of Broken Bow, Russell James of Okmulgee and Jason LeForce and wife Brittni of Antlers; sister, Karen King and husband, E.J. of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother and sister in law, Donnie Eeds and wife Rosie of Broken Bow and Bobby Eeds of Pickens, Oklahoma; special friends, Brad and Dawn Dollar, Bradley and Asia Dollar, Speed Buggy and David Thomason; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Chapel Assembly of God Church in the Herndon Community, Wright City, Oklahoma with the Bro. Jimmy Jeter and Bro. Lyn Gaskey officiating.

Interment will follow at the Watson Memorial Cemetery in the Oak Hill Community, Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
