Sara Lee (Posey) Holen

Sara Lee Holen, age 55, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away on December 31, 2017 at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma. Sara was born June 1, 1962 in St. Clair City, Michigan, the daughter of Lawrence James Posey and Linda Smith Posey. Sara was employed with Wal-Mart in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. She was affiliated with the Eagletown Missionary Baptist Church in Eagletown, Oklahoma. Sara  enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, taking care of her fur baby, Molly and spending time with her family and friends.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Linda Posey; mother and father in law; Shirley and Donald Buchanan; niece, Sarah Renee VerVaecke; and a special fur baby, Charlie.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband Brad Holen of the home; her children, Brent VerVaecke and wife Cassie and Megan VerVaecke and Andrew Smith all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, MaKenzi, Kelsi, Rylei and Hunter; brothers, Mark Posey of Marine City, Michigan, Bernie Posey of Chesapeake, Larry Posey Jr., of Clay Township, Michigan; sisters, Mindy Rochon of Marine City, Michigan and Leora Miller of Pigeon, Michigan; mother and father in law, Jerry and Bonnie Holen of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with the Bro. Tommy McCaig officiating.
