I knew of Dub all my life and knew him as an teenager before leaving Broken Bow in the late 70s. His shop was straight across the highway from where my grandmother (Jaunita Burke) lived. Once my grandmother, in her 80s, fell in her back yard and broke both her arms. Dub heard her calling for help and rushed to her aid. He was kind and took care of her while notifying my mother, and checked on her recovery later on. I will always be thankful for him. I'm sure this is just one of many stories that could be told. My condolences to the family. He was a good man.

My deepest condolences to the family. I never got to spend time with Mr. Nix but knew his son Glendell from law school. Glendell always spoke fondly and highly about his dad. Knowing what a fine man Glendell is assures me that his father had a major impact on Glendell and was a wonderful father and example. I know he will be greatly missed.

A Pedestal Arrangement was ordered on September 18, 2017

I am saddened to read of W. D. passing away.
"Dub" and I had some of the same classes and we both worked at Lane Ford.
I guess that is where he first got involved in being a mechanic.
He was a very good mechanic at that time and you just knew that would be his lifelong endeavor.
I recall numerous times when I would visit Broken Bow I would try to find time to take my car by for him to fix something.
He was one of the nicest people I ever knew.
RIP my friend.
