Wilma Earlene (Kennedy) James

Wilma Earlene James, 74, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 12, 2017 at Christus St. Michael in Texarkana, Texas surrounded by family.  Wilma was born on November 30, 1943 in Broken Bow to the late H. E. Kennedy and Leola (Sorrel) Kennedy. Wilma enjoyed going to the casino and fishing. Wilma loved flowers, gardening, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

            Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel James; parents, H. E. Kennedy and wife, Leola; brother, Billy Kennedy; sister Betty Kennedy; grandson, Kyle James; and aunt, Mildred Walthall.

            She is survived by her children, Robert Lawson and wife, Carol of Pickens, South Carolina, Dennis James and wife, Renee of Broken Bow, Larry James and wife, Rhonda of Broken Bow, and Lisa Sharrah and husband, Victor of Broken Bow; brothers, Hubert Kennedy of Virginia, Gerald Kennedy of Athens, Texas, Travis Kennedy and wife, Vicki of Idabel, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Liechti of Redland, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Joshua James, Corey Tyler, James Tyler, Jessica James, Shelby Lawson, Zachary Lawson, Julie Simon, Isaac James, Kaylie Marston, Raven James, Shannon Deihl, Dalton Baker, Dakota Baker, and Luke Weeks; two great grandchildren, Miguel Tyler, Kenai Wesley; and many other family and friends.

            A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Bradley officiating.

            Interment will follow at Kulli Chito Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
