John Paul Johnson

John Paul Johnson, age 79, of Broken Bow, passed from this life, January 5, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

John was born Feb. 1, 1941 in Broken Bow, OK. to Ed and Clara Vanslyke Johnson.

He and Faye Breece were united in marriage, November 25, 1959 in Broken Bow, OK, they enjoyed over 61 wonderful years together before his passing.

John grew up and spent most of his life in Broken Bow. He enjoyed hunting around Carter Mtn. with his sons. In later years, he loved having his grand and great grand kids come visit and playing with him.

John was an ironworker by trade but in later years switched to his real passion as a Finish Carpenter. As a carpenter, John worked side by side with his top helper (really the boss), Faye Johnson.

The family would like to thank Elara Hospice for their excellent care. They are very caring and professional, and special thank you to Goldie Foshee for her care and help over the years.

John was proceeded in death by his parents, Ed and Clara Vanslyke Johnson, his brothers James (Cub) Johnson, Danny Johnson, and sisters Marjorie Johnson, Shirley Bounds, Alma Lavender, Judy Oren and Patsy Powers.

John will live on in the memories of his wife Faye of the home. Sons and daughter in laws: Mike and Kym of Hochatown, Mark and Terri of Livingston, TX. and Eddie of Broken Bow.

Grandchildren: Jessica Ogle and husband Kenny, Tiffany Johnson, Colby Johnson and wife Ondrea, Ashley Lambert and husband Matt, Daekin Johnson and wife Kimmie, and Aiden Johnson.

Great Grandchildren: Kambree, Mykah, Charlie, Jasper, Kahlan, Elliott, Isaac, Jensen, Claire, Bruce and Kallum.

He also leaves his sister, Lou Turnage of Arlington, TX, and brother Larry Johnson of Dallas, TX.

Brothers-in-law, Martin Breece of Claremore, OK, and Larry Breece of Mansfield, LA.

The family requires a mask be worn by all that attend the viewing and funeral service.

A viewing for family and friends will be, Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM, Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, with Pastor David Flanary officiating, burial will follow at the Hochatown Cemetery.
