Barbara McKay Obituary

Barbara McKay age 82, of DeQueen, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 5, 2019 at her home. Barbara was born on March 10, 1937 in Paris, Texas the daughter of Otis Ward Anderson and Orea Dean. She loved going to church, sitting on her porch watching the birds, her little whirlies, liked to travel, she especially loved her family and grandchildren. She loved her church family at the United Pentecostal Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Leon McKay; parents, Otis and Orea Dean Anderson; brother, Norman Ray Anderson; sisters, Pernie Louise Gerlston and Deloris Ann Murphy.

Barbara leaves to forever cherish her memory her children, Alvin McKay and wife, Betty of Smith Dale, Mississippi, Allen Dale McKay of DeQueen, Arkansas, Roland Frank McKay and wife Shelly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vanessa McKay of the home, Rodney McKay of DeQueen, Arkansas, Nedra Nadine Alfaro and husband George of DeQueen, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends as well as her church family.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at the New Life Tabernacle in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Bro. Ben Pollock & Bro. David Cahill officiating.

Interment will follow at Eagletown Cemetery in Eagletown, Oklahoma.
