Betsy Jo Craytor (Betsy Jo Ross) finished her earthly mission August 12, 2018 in Texarkana, Texas.  Born in Eagletown, Oklahoma on February 12, 1934, married Judge G. Gail Craytor December 18, 1955 (57 years) who preceded her, survived by her four children, Jill Holland, (spouse: Larry Holland, (deceased)); Becky Bonardi (spouse: John Bonardi), Bret Craytor, M.D. (spouse DeAnna Craytor) and Bart Craytor (spouse: Andy Craytor), five grandchildren Samantha (and spouse Mike) Adams,Catherine Bonardi, Wendolyn Holland, Collin Craytor and Carson Craytor and two great grandchildren, Mason Adams and Beckett Adams. her sister Charlette Hearne (spouse Dr. O.B. Hearne), her family: “Brad Brad” Hearne (deceased), Tinecia Hays (spouse: Brent Hays), Masheli Sargent (spouse Chad Sargent), grand-nephews Carter Strain, Cayden Sargent, Raylan Hays, grand-niece Mariah Sargent and many other nieces, nephews and cousins  She was the daughter of Vida Mamie Ross (nee Woods) and Charles H. Ross.

Betsy attended high school at Grant High School, Grant, New Mexico, Eagletown High School, Eagletown, Oklahoma and graduated from Montezuma High School, Cortez, Colorado in 1951.  She matriculated the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado from 1951 to 1955 studying nursing and home economics becoming a homemaker after marrying. 

Betsy was an avid member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and served as an officer for the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of Oklahoma.  .A wonderful mother, sister, wife, and friend to many.  She loved to cook and serve her family and friends. She performed volunteer work at St. Michaels Health Care Center (Texarkana) and volunteered and promoted Texarkana Arts.  She was a member of the Broken Bow Lions Club and served as vice-president of the Oklahoman’s For Responsible Water Policy Now and Broken Bow Main Street.  She also liked to knit, sew and was very creative.

Visitation will be at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Thursday August 16, 2018 from 6:00 p,m  to 8:00 p.m.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Friday August 17, 2018 at 10 o’clock a.m.  Interment will be at Denison Cemetery, Idabel Oklahoma in a private ceremony.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to Shriners’ Hospitals for Children (https://lovetotherescue.org).
