Carolyn Ruth Grigsby departed this life on January 5th, 2020, in Idabel, Oklahoma.
Carolyn was born on November 13, 1949 to Willie Wilson (Buddy) Caldwell and Vivian (Ping) Whitten, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Neysa Dean Callaway.
Carolyn loved adventures, creating jewelry, learning Choctaw, and fishing. She had special love for her chickens and special pups Jackie and Dimple. She and her husband loved to garden, can and hang out together at their home, after retiring from many years traveling and working across the country.
She leaves to cherish her kind heart, remember her smile, laughter, and whimsical humor; her husband of 38 years, Harold Grigsby of the home, sons; Bradley Whitten Caldwell of Federal Way, Washington, Brandon Stewart and Holly of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Brian Mackey of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kelly Grigsby of Idabel, Oklahoma, Neal Grigsby and Millie of Whiteville, North Carolina and Troy Grigsby of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; brothers and sisters; Leysa Montgomery and Steve Kaundart, Broken Bow, OK, Junell Caldwell Davis, James Caldwell and Johnathan Caldwell of Broken Bow, OK and Jerry Don Caldwell of Hugo, OK; grandchildren; Stevie and Beth Grigsby and Kathryn Redding, a host of special nieces, nephews and friends; special neighbors, Casey and Cheryl Henry, and friends, Norma and Glen Whisenhunt.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Chapel.
