Charlotte Annette Howell was born January 23, 1960 to Shirley and Jewel Bloodsoe in Tom, OK. She attended school at Tom Elementary in Tom, OK and Haworth High School in Haworth, OK.
After completing high school Charlotte attended and graduated with an Associate degree from Cedar Valley Community College in Lancaster, TX. She secured a secretary position with the Dallas Police Department. Because of her stellar performance with the department, she was recommended and accepted into the Dallas Police Academy where she became a police officer. After servicing several years as an officer, she obtained she cosmetology license from Velma B. College of Beauty Academy. After working at Shirley’s Beauty Palace for a few years, she because a Correctional Office and a Security Guard for a private company until her health began to fail.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and become a member of the New Dora Baptist Church of Tom, OK. She was a member of the Rose of Sharon Order of Eastern Star. She married JR French and although the marriage ended they remained friends working to co-parent their children. She later met and married Curtis Hearn who was a loving father to all four of her children. She is preceded in death, by her mother Shirley Bloodsoe, Curtis Hearn, her son Richard Carnell Bloodsoe, her grandmother Nellie Hines, and her grandfather Red Ezell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Ieshia, Laquettia, and Timothy Bloodsoe all of Greenville, TX, a maternal brother Richard (Tiffany) Bloodsoe of Marion, IN, 13 parental siblings, her father Jewel (Ann) Bloodsoe of Kansas City, MO her grandmother Altis Ezell of Tom, OK, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at New Dora Baptist Church on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM with Elder James Ezell officiating.
Interment will follow at the St. Luke Cemetery.
