Darlene Merle (Winship) Rose

Darlene Merle Winship Rose age 67, of Smithville, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, June 10, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on August 23, 1951 in Roseburg, Oregon the daughter of Sam Winship and Merle. Darlene loved to work, she was a beautician, worked as a tree planter and in laying houses. She enjoyed sewing, ironing making floral arrangements, going to rodeos and she especially loved watching her grandchildren in their school activities.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Rose; parents, Sam and Merle Winship; brother, Sam Winship Jr. (Chubbie); sister, Beverly Phillips; and special companion, Henry Wood.

Darlene leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dennette Rose of Smithville, Oklahoma, Douglas (Dougie) Rose and wife Marie; step-children, David Wood, Laura Wood, Samantha Wood; sister, Debra Winship; grandchildren, Justin, Marissa, Jennifer, Hunter, and Lyndsey Rose; great-grandchildren, Harmoni, Kash (Small Change) and Lily Rose.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Smithville Cemetery in Smithville, Oklahoma.
