Gary Kevin Hodson

In loving memory of Gary Hodson. Sr., 85, of Smithville, Oklahoma who passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Gary was born in Tryon, Oklahoma on April 10, 1933, to the late Ancil Hodson and Leona Hilleary, but his second home was Colorado.  Gary served as an Airman First Class Private in the U.S. Air Force and had a long successful career as a Land Surveyor and owner of Hodson Surveying Company.  He enjoyed spending time with his family searching for arrowheads, traveling the world, going on ski trips and boating on the lake.  Gary enjoyed all types of outdoor activities – hunting, fishing, and especially golf with his Cedar Creek and Chandler crews. He knew the Lord and is now enjoying the abundance of heaven. “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”.  Revelations 21:4

          Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Ancil Hodson and Leona Hilleary, the mother of his children; Imogene Butler Hodson, brothers; Charles Hodson, Donnie Hodson, Lenvald Hodson, and Terry Hodson, and sisters; Janice Moore, and Judy Whitney.

            He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Connie Hodson of the home, children; Pam Hodson Hunt and husband, Mark of Flower Mound, Texas, Loretta Hodson Sapp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gary Hodson, Jr. and wife, Gina of Edmond, Oklahoma, Melissa Hodson Hull, and husband Matt of Edmond, Oklahoma, RaDonna Brown of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Carla Proctor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Gayle Bray of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, sister; Jolene Neckels and husband, Jack of Grand Junction, Colorado, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

            A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Tryon Cemetery in Tryon, Oklahoma at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018.
