Ike McGowen, Jr

Ike McGowen Jr. 98 1/2 years old passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Broken Bow Health & Rehab Center.

He was born June 18, 1921 in Broken Bow, OK to Ike and Liddie (Craddock) McGowen. He married Geraldine McClinton on March 17, 1943 and they spent many happy years together. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. He drove a truck for many years, he then retired after 10 years’ service for McCurtain County Precinct 1. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports. His greatest love was God & family. He was a member of the Charity Baptist Church.

Ike leaves to cherish his memory a son, Robert McGowen and wife, Kathy of Broken Bow, OK; a brother, Sid McGowen of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Skip Copeland and wife, Shellye, Brad Copeland and wife, Lori, Aimee Vaughn and husband, Keith, Ray Flora and wife, Micle, Karen McRae and husband, Rusty; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Zac, Caden and Audrey Copeland, Allison, Carson, and Grayson McRae,; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; daughter, Linda Copeland; 4 brothers & 6 sisters.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, OK.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Charity Baptist Church in Broken Bow, OK. With Bro. Clint Bray and Brad Copeland officiating.

Interment will follow at the Broken Bow Cemetery.
