James Clifford Baker

James Clifford Baker, age 73, was called home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. James was born to Emerson and Ethel Baker on May 11, 1944, in Holly Creek, Oklahoma. He married Margaret Vivian Bush on November 21, 1964 at the First Assembly of God Church in Idabel, Oklahoma.  James loved his Lord, enjoyed reading and talking about the bible and was ready to go and be with the Lord when he was called. James was a Lay Speaker for many of the  Choctaw Churches.  His favorite bible verse was Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, And unto the uttermost part of the earth."

James was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Ethel Baker; brother, Sonny Baker and sister, Marceline Lowery.

His memory will be forever cherished by his wife of 52 years , Margaret Baker of the home; children Terry Baker and wife Shirley of Holly Creek, Ok., Calvin Baker and wife Sherrie of Broken Bow, Ok., Brian Baker and wife Michelle of Idabel, Ok., Michael and Joshua Baker of Holly Creek, Ok., and daughter, Deborah Clipper and husband Pertrel of Holly Creek, Ok.; grandchildren, Terry II, Skyler, Vince, Robert, Justin Carmen, Jacob and Zackery; great grandchildren, Braydence, Jason and Jordan; brother, Jerry Baker and wife Patsy of Holly Creek, Ok., brother and sister in law, Virginia Cumbie and husband Paul of Silver Hill, Alabama; sister in law, Virginia Bray of Holly Creek, Ok.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home In Broken Bow, Ok.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holly Creek Cemetery in Holly Creek, Ok., with the Bro. Leon Tims officiating.
