James Billy, age 60 of Broken Bow, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his home. James was born January 19, 1957 in Talihina, Oklahoma, the son of Rev. Stephen Billy and Rebecca Tonihka Billy. James was a 1976 graduate of Valliant High School and was employed with Tyson Foods in Broken Bow. He enjoyed playing softball and fast pitch and was a member of the Team Country Nursery for many years. James liked the game of volleyball and always said "Set me up and we will win". He loved all sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. James was affiliated with the Kulli Chito Methodist Church in Broken Bow. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grand children. James loved and cherished his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Stephen and Rebecca Billy; grandchildren, Anthony McKinney Jr. and Annalise Lynn McKinney; brothers, Stephen, Winston, Clifton, Titus, Nathaniel, Daniel and Joseph Billy.
His memory will be forever cherished by his children, Toni Billy of Muskogee, Ok.; Clay Billy of Broken Bow, Nathan Billy and wife Cynthia of Elgin, Ok. and Candace Bennett of Idabel, Ok.; grand children, Helena, Jayden, Sophia, Alissa, Ella, Aston, Alexandra, Cambria,Narayah, Jovani, Dominic, Taevian, Steven, Kyle, Kody, Nacona and Joseph; brothers Thomas and Jeremiah Billy of Broken Bow, Ok.; sisters, Marietta Billy of Broken Bow, Ok., Christine Billy and Michelle Causey and husband Shawn Bailey of Valliant, Ok., Mercedes Watson and husband Waylon of Talihina, Ok. and Stephanie Young of Broken Bow, Ok.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kulli Chito Methodist Church in Broken Bow with the Rev. Edgel Samuel officiating.
Interment will follow at the Kulli Chito Cemetery in Broken Bow.
