James Arnold Bray age 71 of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. James was born July 6, 1947 in Idabel, Oklahoma the son of Jess and Daphner Anderson Bray. He lived in McCurtain County all of his life. James was a carpenter by trade most of his life. He loved to play guitar, hunt, fish and being in the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Daphner Bray; brothers J.W., Richard and Clarence (Peck) Bray; sisters, Peggy Ward, Billie June Rodgers and Mary Lou Clecker; nephews, Jeff Ward and Jerry Don Bray; great nephews, Jessie Ward and John Ward; great niece, Anita June Rodgers.
James leaves to cherish his memory his children, Gary Bray and wife Holly of Bay City, Texas, Christopher Bray and wife Mechelle of Freeport, Texas and Scott Bray of Lawton, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Tyler Lawson Smith of Glover, Oklahoma, Rebecca Rylee Bray and James Ryan Bray of Bay City, Texas, Donavan Jeremiah Bray of Freeport, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Holly Creek Community Church with Bro. Lewis Lee Prewitt officiating.
Interment will follow at the Holly Creek Cemetery
