Ruth & family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I still have many great memories at the ranch when I was a child. He was a sweet man and will be greatly missed.

Condolences to your big, beautiful family in the loss of Jerry, such a wonderful, Christian man, husband, father, son, brother, and friend. I didn't personally know Jerry, but I had the pleasure of being the teacher to so many of his grandchildren and was touched by the depth of love they had for him; only a very special man could earn such devoted love. May God's ever comforting hand encircle your family at your loss and grant you strength, and may your sweet memories sustain you all during this difficult time.

Jerry was a man of unquestionable character and integrity. He was a true cattleman . He was a faithful friend and neighbor to my parents, Herchael and Virginia Brock. He will be missed here but was welcomed by a multitude of saints in Heaven.

What a large and amazing family you had, Jerry. Without hesitation, the primary thing I want to say about you is that you were a classic gentleman, a genuine "what you see is what you get" person: humble, quiet, kind, legitimate. Two memories of you from high school have never left me: On two occasions, once, when I won the national Arion Award for music students, and second, when I was named salutatorian of our class, you were one of my few classmates who sought me out and congratulated me, in your words, for my "hard work, and it wasn't even for sports." You were a class act, Jerry, and wise beyond our pre=adult years. You were a smart man, too, one Will Rogers probably had in mind when he said, “Always drink upstream from the herd.” Peace to you, good man.
