Jessie Gammon Obituary

Jessie Gammon 66, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away on September 4, 2018 in her home surrounded with family and a very special friend Ruby Chadwick.

Jessie was the wife of Donald Gammon. Jessie and Donald were married for forty-three years. They had two sons, Jamie Don Gammon and Heath Gammon.

Jessie was born on January 14, 1952 in Idabel, Oklahoma the daughter of Jesse (Buster)Jamerson, and Marie Haynie Jamerson.

Jessie was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Don Gammon, her mother, Marie Jamerson father Jesse (Buster) Jamerson, brother Bobby Jamerson, and sister Betty Bastible.

Jessie opened Gammon Wrecker Service with her youngest son, Jamie Don Gammon and continued the business after he passed away. Jessie was presented with a plaque in January 2002 from Geico Direct after being featured in Tow Times Magazine; Women of Towing.  She loved running the wrecker service and was known all over the county and loved by everyone that knew her.

Jessie memory will be forever cherished by her husband Donald Gammon of the home, son, Heath Gammon and spouse Kimberly Gammon, grandchildren, Tyler Gammon and Jamie Grace Gammon. She also leaves behind brothers, Alvin Jamerson and wife Tammy, Curtis Jamerson and wife Becky, and Danny Jamerson; sister, Lenore Dempsey, a special nephew Joe Curtis (Rador) Jamerson and special niece Melissa Dempsey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and her casino friends.

In addition to running the wrecker service, she loved going to the casino, not only to play but to have fun and enjoy her friends.

She got her strength from the word of God.

Visitation was held on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at Bunch=Singleton Funeral Home

A celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Rev. Robert Haling officiating.
