Jim Swift Obituary

Jimmie Lynn Swift, 62, of Golden, OK, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in Paris, TX. Jimmie was born on September 20, 1957 in DeQueen, AR, to James Leon Swift and Patsy Nell (Lacy) Swift. He lived in the McCurtain County area all of his life and was of the Baptist faith.

Jimmie was a graduate of Broken Bow High School, class of ’75. He worked as a logger and cattle rancher. Jimmie, along with his brother Josh, opened Swift Machine and Motor Supply in 1992. He enjoyed playing cards, watching cattle sales, bailing hay, deer hunting, and riding horses. Jimmie was a great dad, he loved his siblings and helping his mother raise them. He also enjoyed family get-togethers and working.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James Leon and Patsy Nell Swift.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory his son, James Swift, of Golden, OK; brother, Josh Swift and wife, Cindy, of Golden, OK; sister, Jamie Stewart and husband, Travis, of Golden, OK; nieces, Coltan and Coltland Judd, of Golden, OK; nephews, Cutter Swift, Hunter Stewart, all of Golden, OK; as well as, numerous cousins and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will held on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Ok.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at the Golden Baptist Church, in Golden, OK, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Lewis Lee Prewitt officiating.

Interment will follow at Holly Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request to donate money to McCurtain County National Bank in the name of Jim Swift account and the family will use  the money to adopt an Angel  for Christmas in his honor.
