Joe Clyde Hamill, Sr.

Joe Clyde Hamill, 86, of Daphane, Alabama passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at Christus Dubuis in Paris, Texas. Joe was born on October 14, 1931, in Ringold, Oklahoma to the late Joel Hamill and Etter Kaler Hamill. Joe served his country proudly in the United States Army, retiring after 22 years of service. Joe loved to hunt, fish, take care of his cows, bailing hay, playing cards, and dominos. Joe loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Joe will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

            Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Lorea Hamill, parent; Joel and Etter Hamill, brothers; Leonard Hamill, George Hamill, and Bill Hamill, sisters; Mary Lou Stuart, Rean Wolfe, and Claudia Mills.

            Left to cherish his memory is his children; Mike Hamill and wife, Sandy of Rome, Georgia, Cheryl Howard and husband, Randy of Hugo, Oklahoma, Joe C. Hamill, Jr. of Daphane, Alabama, Sean Hamill and wife, Lacy of Saraland, Alabama, sister; Jean Cogburn of Sobel, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Michael Hamill, Nicole Trusty, Melissa Gregg, Chris Howard, Seanee Hamill, Jakob, Hamill, and Chandler Hamill, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

            A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Wright City First Assembly of God in Wright City, Oklahoma at with Joyce Luman and Bro. Lyn Gaskey officiating.

            Interment will follow at Moran Cemetery in Valliant, Oklahoma.
