Kenneth Clay Foshee, 70, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kenneth was born February 11, 1947 in the Honey Grove Community, the son of Tom and Pearl Foshee.
Kenneth had lived in McCurtain County all his life, being raised in Holly Creek. He married Goldie Hobbs White on June 26, 1971 in Hugo, Oklahoma and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea during the Vietnam era. He was a police officer in Wright City for many years and then worked in security at Tyson until retirement. Kenneth had many friends throughout McCurtain County and was always ready to help others out. He loved to visit with family and friends and care for his dogs. Kenneth liked to play the penny slots at casinos in Oklahoma and in Shreveport. He loved the country life and never wanted to live anywhere else. Kenneth will be missed and remember by all who knew him.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Goldie Foshee of the home; son and daughter in law, Nick and Cathy White of Idabel, Oklahoma; brother, Robert Foshee and wife, Frankie of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Lauren White, Joshua White and wife, Vicki, Hannah White, Catherine White and Nicholas White; two special children, Ricky Foshee and Christina Short; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Pearl Foshee; brothers, Phillip and Chester Foshee; sisters, Marie Foshee Smith and Maxine Foshee Elliot.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Johnny Caldwell officiating.
Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery.
