Laura Jean (Samuels) Wells

Laura Jean Samuels Wells, age 61 of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Laura was born December 15, 1956 in Talihina, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eli Samuels and Minerva Ward Samuels. Laura was an avid OU fan, loved playing fast pitch softball, coaching and working in her yard. She cherished her children and grandchildren and always was there for them.

Laura was preceded in death by one son, Sheldon Samuels; her parents, Eli and Minerva Samuels; brother, Virgil Samuels; sister, Naomi Taylor and nephews, Bryan Taylor and Joshua Hazel.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughters, Angela Oglesby and husband Thomas of Broken Bow and Billie Gunn and husband Marquise of Hugo, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Savannah King and Kenneth King of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Blake Oglesby of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Alexis Wells of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Dontre Carter of Hugo, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Melanie Oglesby and Blake Oglesby Jr. of Broken Bow, Oklahoma;  brothers, Leland Samuels of Pittsfield, Maine and Gavin Samuels of Norman, Oklahoma; sisters, Ura Leach of Texas, Loretta Heuberger and husband Doug of Valliant, Oklahoma, Sherlene Baxter and husband Steve of Foreman, Arkansas, Lois Samuels of Kansas, Oklahoma, Ruby Taylor of Calera, Oklahoma, Sharon Walker and husband Tony of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Lea Samuels of Durant, Oklahoma and Olivene Wadley and husband David of Norman, Oklahoma; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Wake Service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with the Bro. Greg Willie and Bro. Paul Samuels officiating.

Interment will follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Honobia, Oklahoma
