Lorraine Ada George, 87, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma while surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born on July 13, 1931, to the late Garland Dennington and Maudie McDonald Dennington in Haworth, Oklahoma. Lorraine enjoyed country music, dancing, and fishing. Lorraine was a Registered Nurse who loved her career. She loved her children and her grandchildren with all her heart. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband; Jimmy George, Sr., parents; Garland and Maudie Dennington, brother; Bernie Dennington, and sister; Annie McQueen.
She leaves to cherish her memory, son; Jimmy George, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, daughter; Barbara Hicks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brother; John Bennington of Haworth, Oklahoma, sister; Garlene Dennington of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Amanda Moore, Carey George, Jimmy George III, Shelby George, and Paul Harris, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, special friends; the Staff of hills Nursing Home, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Dr. Doug Deramus officiating.
Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.
