Mildred “Diann” Ray, 68, of Idabel, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2019 after a long battle with a terminal illness. Diann was full of love and laughter and greeted strangers with open arms. She had a heart of gold and always there for her family and friends. Diann loved life and making others laugh. Her smile brightened the room whenever she walked in. She was a very special wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Diann was preceded in death by her parents, Loye Triplett and Gracie Triplett Beavers; brother, George Loye Triplett, Johnnie Houston Triplett, and William Cecil Triplett.
Diann is survived by her husband, Glen Ray of Idabel, Oklahoma; children, Royce Edington and wife Trisha of Fairfax, Virginia, LaDonna Stanton of St. Pauls, North Carolina, LaDena Deason and husband Nathan of Shannon North Carolina; two sisters, Georgia Mills and husband Billy of Doddridge, Arkansas and Mary Ann Shoults of Idabel, Oklahoma. She has six loving grandchildren, Kylie and Carson Edington of Fairfax, Virginia, Courtney Parker and Haley Carlton of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Peyton Stanton of St. Pauls, North Carolina, Samantha Holmes of Shannon, North Carolina and one great-granddaughter, Nova Gray of Hope Mills, North Carolina. Additionally she also is survived by her former husband and lifelong friend, David Edington of St, Pauls, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and an unofficially adopted daughter, Melissa Long.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Walker officiating.
