Patricia Faye (Henson) Watterson

Patricia Faye Watterson, 71, of Broken Bow passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Patricia was born on July 16, 1946 to the late M. M. Henson and Mattie (Tollett) Henson in Oleta, Oklahoma. Patricia’s home was always comfortable, she was a second mom to many; taking in and raising many children throughout the years. She loved flowers, gardening, bird watching, and reading. Patricia loved the “Savage Pride Marching Band” of Broken Bow. She was a compassionate, giving person who loved her church family at Rufe Baptist Church and the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

            Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Watterson, who passed away in 2002; her parents, M. M. Henson and wife, Mattie; two brothers, Wiley Henson and Chester Henson; two sisters, Nina Cockrill and June Horton; brothers-in-law, Roger Horton, and Roy Thompson, father and mother -in-law, Orvil and Lola Ballard.

            Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, Shelly Osborn and husband, Cary of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Dusty Watterson of Broken Bow; sisters, Mary Helen Harmon and husband, Dobber of Rattan, Oklahoma and Bobbie Norris and husband, Henry of Idabel, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law, David Ballard and wife, Donna of Clara, Oklahoma, Bo Ballard and wife, Gloria of Bonham, Texas; sisters-in-law, Wanda Henson of Hugo, Oklahoma, Kathy Thompson of Clara, Oklahoma, and Ann Hullum and husband, Phillip of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brad Houston, Clint Osborn and wife, Angela, Hannah Osborn and fiancée, Jake Alred, Riley Osborn, and Tanner Watterson; great grandchildren, Kamri Osborn, Ava Alred, and Carter Alred; special friend, Mike Maderer, and a host of other family and friends.

            A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the Wright City First Baptist Church in Wright City, Oklahoma with Bro. Ronnie Miller Officiating.

                       Interment will follow at the Rufe Cemetery in Rufe, Oklahoma.
