Patsy Ruth (Walker) Holmes

Patsy Ruth Holmes age 83, received her Angel Wings on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Calera, Oklahoma. Patsy was born on October 13, 1935 in Clebit, Oklahoma the daughter of Marvin and Ruthie Mae Walker. She married Vester Holmes in 1953 eventually settling in Broken Bow, Oklahoma where they raised their only son, Frankie. Patsy was an exceptional cook and homemaker. She had a servant’s heart and served faithfully to her church for many years. Her pride and joy were her three granddaughters. She finished her days on earth in Durant, Oklahoma where she was lovingly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruthie Mae Walker; spouse, Vester Holmes; great-grandson, John Allen Coffey.

Patsy leaves to forever cherish her memory her son, Frankie Holmes and wife Kathy of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Amanda Coffey and husband, David and their children, John Allen, Abigail, David, and Jacee all of Goodwell, Oklahoma, Shonda Miller and husband, Matt and their children, Hunter and Elizabeth all of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Andrea Shannon and husband Robert and children, Silas, Hannah, and Jona all of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 26, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Bro. David Coffey officiating.

Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
