Vince H. Engler

Vince H. Engler 83, of Broken Bow, Ok. passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Vince was born on April 16, 1936 in Golden, Ok. the son of William Samuel Engler and Polly Ann Engler.

Vince in his earlier years worked in many industries as a welder, carpenter, barber, local store owner, poultry farmer and cattle rancher. Vince loved spending time with his family, cheering his grandchildren and great-grandchildren on, and listening to music. He always requested Lee bring his banjo and Trey bring his guitar on holidays, or any other time family and friends gathered in his and Annette’s home. He never missed an opportunity to debate history or politics. He was known by his family for his fun-loving personality, unconditional love, and will forever be remembered as the protector.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents, William Samuel and Polly Ann Engler; brothers, G. Lee Engler, Tillman Lindon Engler, Mondell Engler; sisters, Varennes Thomlinson, Virginia Bridges, Ellen Belyeu.

Vince will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Annette Engler; children, Marietta Titsworth and husband, Mark of DeQueen, Ar., Vincent Lee Engler and wife, Stephanie of Broken Bow, Ok; brothers, Bill Engler and Virdell Engler of Holly Creek, Ok; sister, Darlene Gibson of Broken Bow, Ok; grandchildren, Amber Stewart and husband, Jason of Idabel, Ok, Cassie Lockhart and husband Trey of Garvin, Ok Samantha McReynolds and husband Anson of Smithville, Ok, Derrick and Steven Engler of Broken Bow, Ok, Jaycee Tadlock of Idabel, Ok, and Zachary Titsworth of DeQueen, Ar.; great-grandchildren, Wraithen Kent of Idabel, Cash, Alyssa, Brentlee McReynolds of Smithville, Ok a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Ok

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Robertson officiating.

Interment will follow at Glover Cemetery.
