Virgil Shomo Obituary

Virgil “Bubby” Shomo, 58, of Broken Bow, OK passed from this life September 2, 2019 in Idabel, OK. He was born March 13, 1961 in DeQueen, AR the son of J.D. and Nellie (Gipson) Shomo.

Virgil enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, making fry bread, fishing and attending Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Nellie Shomo; sister, Margie Going; brother, Johnny Shomo.

Virgil leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Stanley Shomo and wife, Gay of Durant, OK, Robert Shomo, Jimmy Shomo, David Shomo and Mark Shomo all of Broken Bow, OK; Chris Shomo and wife, Sandra of Tahlequah, OK; sisters, Barbara (Shomo) Tonihka, Betty Shomo McKinney and husband, Silas all of Broken Bow, OK; Linda (Shomo) Hernandez of Mt Pleasant, TX; numerous nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at Myrtlewood Baptist Church, Broken Bow, OK with Pastor Martin Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtlewood Baptist Church Cemetery.

A Wake Service will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
