Wauleah Wagstaff

Wauleah "Lee" Wagstaff, a long-time resident of McCurtain County, passed away on June 9, 2018 in McCurtain Memorial Hospital of Idabel, OK.

She was the second daughter born to Pickens and Juanita (McAfee) Thomas in Haworth, OK on December 1, 1941.

Wauleah loved playing softball in her early years, she continued playing after starting a family. She was very athletic and competitive. Her love of the great outdoors has left the family with many good memories of fishing, camping, playing horseshoes, sitting by the fire enjoying nature. She loved the simple things in life, some good fried chicken, finding a bargain at a garage sale, playing the slots, visiting with friends, gardening, caring for others, and sitting in her rocker on the front porch.

Her smile, laugh, humor and love will be missed by many! She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and eight sisters.

Survivors include her children, Peggy Walker of Harris, OK, Patti Walker of Booker, TX, Penny Walker of Weatherford, OK, Tammy Haasl and husband, Ron of Weatherford, Ok, Steve Walker of Fouke, AR, Carolyn McBride of Belfair, WA, Darrell Walker and wife, Denise of Poulsbo, WA; her sister Wanda Francis and husband, Anthony of Wheeler, TX; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

                A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
