Alice Keeney

Alice Keeney, age 79, of Eagletown, OK, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Texarkana, TX. She was born on May 15, 1942, in Glover, to William and Louise (Jackson) Westbrook.

Alice was united in marriage to the love of her life, Orville Keeney, for forty-three years. Together they grew chickens for Tyson and worked their farm in Eagletown. Alice loved going to the casino and her main social event was having breakfast at the cabin with her family. She is described by her family as the matriarch, “The Boss!” of whatever was going on. Whenever she spoke you listened. Her Blue Heeler, Taz, was very special to her. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Keeney; her brother, T.J. Westbrook; and sister, Sue Harcrow.

Alice leaves to cherish her memory her children, Denise Smith (Greg), and Clint Keeney (Tammie); brothers, Earl Westbrook, and Leon Westbrook; sister, Linda Strawn; grandchildren, Cody Keeney (Jordan), and Courtney Keeney (Tanner Wilson), (and their mother, Angie Claborn), Brad Smith (Brittany), and Brooke Altstatt (Kent); great-grandchildren, Ayla Lampi, Maci Smith, Brody Smith, Luke Altstatt, Kolby Altstatt, Case Keeney, and Emersyn Keeney; and special niece, Donnie Morgan.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Westbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Hochatown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
