Alvin Dean Spencer

Dean Spencer 90, of Broken Bow passed from this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. He was born on June 14, 1929 in Broken Bow the son of Ollie Spencer and Iva Lou Edmonson Spencer.

He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1948 and served his country in the United States Army in Korea on the front lines for nine months and received a Good Conduct Medal.

Dean enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding his 4-wheeler, playing his guitar and taking care of his cattle.

Dean married the love of his life Geraldine Cole on November 11, 1953.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Iva Lou Spencer, a brother, Junior Spencer.

Dean leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 66 years, Geraldine of the home; children, Glenda Spencer; Mark Spencer and Tammy of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Mason Spencer and Kaylee  of Broken Bow, Carrie Johnson and Gary of Anna, TX, Shauna, Twauna and Clancey Williams of Durant, OK; special niece, Mary Ann Clouse of Broken Bow; special cousin, Jana Burris and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow with Bro. Jimmy Jeter officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
