Aubrey Dickerson

Aubrey Dickerson passed from this life at his home on July 21,2022 at the age of 86. He was born August 2,1935 in Arkinda, AR the son of William Dickerson and Effie (Bates) Dickerson.

Aubrey loved rabbit hunting & listening to his beagle’s run. While working in his store he enjoyed talking to people. He was known by many from working on well pumps especially chicken and hog houses. Aubrey enjoyed holiday meals and desserts with his favorite dessert being “Mississippi mud cake”. He loved spending time with all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a member and former deacon and teacher at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-eight years, Tina Mae Dickerson, his second wife of fourteen years Bertha Mae Dickerson; parents, William Dickerson, and Effie (Bates) Dickerson; grandson, Michael Culp; six brothers, Paul, Carter, Frank, Sammy, Homer and Cleve Dickerson; one sister, Dovie Painter.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Debra and Kim Culp of Dequeen, AR., Donna and Dennis Huckaby of Eagletown, OK; two sisters, Idell Galovich of Eagletown, Ethel Vance of Eagletown; two grandchildren, Mark and Carrie Duren, Misty and Anthony Burleson all of Eagletown, OK; six great grandchildren, Randon, Desi, Landon, Jimmy, Kevin, Audrey; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday July 23, 2022 at Bunch Singleton Chapel, Broken Bow from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be Sunday July 24, 2022 at Bunch Singleton Chapel Broken Bow, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Plank officiating.

Internment will follow at Eagletown Cemetery.
