Barry McKinney

Barry Dean McKinney, passed away in Broken Bow, Oklahoma on May 21, 2026. He was born the son of Willis and Ethel (Battiest) McKinney on December 11, 1974, in Talihina, Oklahoma,

Barry enjoyed playing corn hole, fishing, and hunting, and he found happiness in the outdoors and in the company of family and friends. Barry was also an avid OU fan. He especially loved being a grandfather, and some of his happiest moments were spent watching his grandchildren play softball and baseball. He also loved watching the kids on phone videos.

Barry was preceded in death by his wife, Karen McKinney; his parents, Willis and Ethel McKinney; and his cousins, Robert Battiest, Gina Maturino, and Vernie Battiest, Jr.

He is survived by his special friend, Katrina Cooper; his children, Justin Winship and his wife Brittany, Jaden McKinney and Ashley Winship; his brother, Randy McKinney; his grandchildren, Enslee and Krew Winship; his aunts, Teresa Maturino and Cybil Trevino; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service is set for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be from 9-10 AM prior to the service.
