Becky Sears passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 70. Born on August 18, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, Becky's vibrant spirit and loving nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Becky married the love of her life, Doug Sears on August 6, 1977 and they shared thirty-seven wonderful years together until his passing in 2015. They were each other’s world. She was a dedicated wife and caregiver to Doug.
A proud graduate of Moore High School, class of 1974, Becky's educational journey was capped in a moment of triumph when she recently walked across the stage to receive her diploma, decades after a tornado disrupted her original graduation ceremony.
For twenty-seven years, Becky was a dedicated employee at Walmart in Broken Bow, where her friendly demeanor and diligent work ethic made her a favorite among both colleagues and customers. Her involvement in the community extended to her active membership at both Broken Bow Church of Christ and South Yukon Church of Christ, where her faith and fellowship were sources of strength and comfort.
Becky's interests were a reflection of her zest for life and love for her family. An avid gardener, she took particular pride in her sunflowers. A passionate OSU Cowboys fan, she never missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. Her grandchildren were the center of her universe. Becky was ever-present at their school events, stock shows, and any activity they participated in.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean Stockman and Mary Sears; her beloved husband, Doug Sears; her in-laws, Dean and Neva Sears; sister-in-law, Kathy Stockman.
