Bernie Baucom Elliott III

Bernie Baucom Elliott III, age 67, of Wright City, OK, passed from this life, February 13, 2021, in Tyler, TX.

He was born, October 6, 1953, in Wright City, OK, to Bernie Baucom Elliott, Jr. and Rosie Lee (Cunningham) Elliott.

Bernie was a Farmer and Rancher and drove a log truck for most of his life. He rode bulls and horses; there wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading the newspaper, and drinking sweet tea and Dr. Pepper. He also enjoyed riding around his land on the 4-wheeler, planting a garden, and tending his chicken houses. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Christian faith.

Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie Elliott, Jr. and Rosie (Cunningham) Elliott; stepdaughter, Tonya Trusty; and 2 brothers, Michael Don Elliott and Jimmy D. Elliott.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Baucom Elliott, of Lane, OK; daughter, Bethani Poole and husband, Donald, of Paris, TX; two sisters, Jerry Fennell and husband, Kenneth, of Ft. Towson, OK, and Birdie Parson and husband, Billy Don, of Big Cedar, OK; grandchildren, Lyndi Lewis, Jimmy Lewis, Jr., both of Paris, TX, and Ryder Elliott, of Lane, OK; step-grandson, Chance Dickey and wife, Laci, of Glover, OK; three great-grandchildren; as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 12:30 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2021, at The Church, in Garvin, OK.

A Funeral Service for Bernie will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2021, at The Church, with Bro. Brent Coffey and Bro. Tag Rowan officiating.
