Mrs. Bert Lue Smith life’s journey begun March 15, 1936 to the late Earlie Mae Henderson and Tom Dunn both of Foreman, AR. Devoted mother to a cherished son, J.C. Murphy of Tom, OK. During her journey she married James Smith, Jr. of Foreman, AR. Through the Smith’s union, they adopted beloved granddaughter, Tyannia Smith of Sherman, TX. Bert Lue was a faithful member of Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Tom, OK. She loved being in attendance at her home church and many other churches. Our Dallas Cowboys longtime fan. Bert Lue Smith cherished memories are forever imprinted with four sisters, Dorothy Moore, Eunice Henderson, Pearl Jackson all of Texarkana, TX and Mazie Jackson of Ashdown, AR: six brothers, Rev. Billy Dunn, Jim Dunn, Tobe Dunn all of Ashdown, AR, John Henderson Jr. of Pittsburg, CA, Jessie Henderson of Wichita, KS, Carl Henderson of Las Vegas, NV; along with her bonus family of the late husband, James Smith, Jr.; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grands, great-great-grands, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earlie Mae Henderson, Tom Dunn, a bonus dad, John D Henderson, husband, James Smith Jr., four sisters, seven brothers, one granddaughter, cousins, friends, Jewel Glass, Emma Wilson, Mary Fields and Rev. Raymond Latson who she loved dearly. We will miss you and my dear sister rest in love you will always be in my heart.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service is set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Community Missionary Baptist Church in Tom, OK with Rev. Roy Barlow officiating. Interment to follow at Alfred French Cemetery in Foreman, AR.
