Betty (Markham) Touchstone passed from this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Brookdale Senior Living in Durant, OK. She was born on October 10, 1929 in Langley, AR. She was the second oldest of twelve children born to Perry and Oza Markham. She cherished memories of a great portion of her early life helping raise her younger siblings.

Betty married Raymond Touchstone on October 31, 1946 and they shared sixty-eight years together until his passing on March 25, 2014. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Betty and Janet.

Betty was a caregiver. She worked at the Broken Bow Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed cooking, canning and taking care of her family. Betty and Raymond would take several weeks each summer and visit family in Oregon and California. She loved her siblings dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Touchstone; parents, Perry and Oza Markham; siblings, Edith Plunkett, Stella Relph, Orval Markham and Arvilee Markham.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Betty Gene Lawrence and Janet Taylor; siblings, Ray Markham, Dorothy Lampman and Flecia Randolph; grandchildren, Denise Bush (Mark), Teresa Lawrence and Michael Elrod (Becky); great-grandchildren, Brittany Foshee, Jackie Jo Palmer (Taylin), Joe Blaze, Karlie Bush, Colton, Lacey and Kelsie Elrod; great-great-grandchildren, Creek Cade and Cove Kaisley Palmer, Liam Shane Stamps and Wrenley Rae Elrod.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
