Obituary
Bill Mize, 81, of Holly Creek Community, passed away October 10, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born December 27, 1937 in Broken Bow, OK the son of Tom and Viola (Ward) Mize.
Bill and Wilma were united in marriage May 19, 1963 and shared fifty-six years together before his passing. Bill and Wilma attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Bill was a welder and mechanic and worked for Red River Army Depot, Weyerhaeuser, McHenry Welding and Tyson Food. He proudly served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play ball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Viola Mize; brothers, Henry Mize, Johnny Mize, Cliff Mize, Kenneth Mize, Tommy Mize and Richmond Mize; sisters, Elaine Cone, Lela McHenry and Charlene Petty.
Bill leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Wilma of the home; children, Billy Paul Mize of Caddo, OK; Jim Mize and Leslie of Stuart, OK; grandchildren, Tony Dawkins and Brittany, Dakota Mize, Tanner Mize and Lawson Mize; great-grandchildren, Kambrey Thompson, Brantley Dawkins and Laundry Dawkins; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Oak Grove Community with Bro. Greg Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Creek Cemetery, Holly Creek, OK.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.
