Bonnie Colson Obituary
Bonnie Elaine Colson, 82, of Glover, OK entered her Heavenly home March 15, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Glover March 11, 1939, one of nine children of Bulah (Thompson) and Walter William Gibson.
Bonnie married Eldon Colson on April 11, 1957 and shared sixty- four years together. Their marriage was blessed with five children.
Bonnie was a lifetime resident of Glover. She was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed sewing, making quilt tops, recording her music on cd’s and sharing them with family and friends. Most of all she loved the Lord and cherished being a Nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bulah Gibson; sons-in-law, Troy Holland, Jr. and Joe Bob Gray; brothers, William, Elton, Leeburn and Abb Gibson; sisters, Marie McKeever, Vivian McKeever, Mildred Westbrook and Rosa Lee Harcrow.
Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Eldon Colson of the home; children, Sandra Gray of Glover, Kenneth Colson and wife, Ranelda of Holly Creek, Jerry Colson and wife, Debbie of Glover, Charlotte Colson of Glover and Carla Holland of Durant; grandchildren, B.J. Boulton, Jeremy Boulton, Kendall Colson and wife, Ashley, Dustin Colson, Ashley Peters and husband, Mike, Derek Colson and wife, Tamara, Jacob Holland, Shaina Robison and husband Ben; great-grandchildren, Savanna, Kelley, Mason, Emily, Kyler, Jessie, Ramie, Ranger, Karter, Renlee, Kanon, Kyle, Brianna, and Braden; a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 Thursday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19th, 2021 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Morris and Rev. Bruce McKeever officiating.
