Bonnie Holen Obituary

Bonnie Jean Holen passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Born on March 4, 1939, in Ada, Minnesota to parents Lee Roy and Ruby (Lura) Sargent.


Bonnie and Jerry Holen were united in marriage August 2, 1958.


Bonnie was of the Lutheran faith. Her home was a haven of hospitality, with the aroma of her cooking welcoming friends and family alike. Bonnie's sewing was not just a hobby but an extension of her love, as she crafted beautiful pieces for those she cared about. Her smile was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her.


She is preceded in death by her parents, LeeRoy and Ruby Sargent; daughter-in-law, Sara Holen; brothers, Robert Sargent, Kenny Sargent, and Bruce Sargent; sisters, Donna Julian, Joy Viker, and Carol Lambert.


Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Jerry Holen; children, Brian and Kathy Holen of Valliant, OK, Bradley Holen of Broken Bow, and Brenda and Mike Bray of Broken Bow; brother, Larry Sargent of Ada, MN; Bonnie's spirit will live on through her grandchildren, Miranda Adams and Larry, Nikki Fuller and Joe Smith,  Jennifer Bray and Brandon Dumont, as well as her great-grandchildren, Jaci, Jake, Jayden, Cooper, and Journee; Her life was also enriched by special friends, Don and Brenda Moore, Marc and Sarah Patrick and family, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.


A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is set for 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK  with Bro. Greg Curtis officiating.
