Boyd Lane Roath, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Wright City, Oklahoma, at the age of 71. Born on December 28, 1954, in Maywood, CA. Boyd lived a life marked by love, kindness, hard work, and devotion to the people who meant the most to him.

Boyd spent much of his life in service to his work and to the people around him. He was a boiler operator at Weyerhaeuser for 36 years, where he was respected for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. Those who worked alongside him knew him as someone who could always be counted on. Family was the heart of Boyd’s life, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He especially looked forward to time with his children and grandchildren, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.

He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, each spring he could always be found planting tomatoes and peppers, tending to his garden. He loved being outdoors and appreciated the satisfaction that came from working with his hands. When he was not outside, he enjoyed watching golf, listening to music, or cheering on his Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Margaret Roath; siblings, Rosa Faye,Al (Sonny), Loretta, Joe, Ima Jean, Bill, Steven, and Rick; and a special grandson, Robert Lane Roath.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Roath; sons, Chris and Misty Jamison of Collinsville, OK; David and Erica Roath of Wright City, Oklahoma, and Ty Roath of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Floyd Roath and wife Judy of Poteau, Oklahoma;  grandchildren, Kadyn Mitchell, Brookelyn Jamison, Alex, Reed, Eli, Brodi, Truett, and Ridge Roath; and great-grandchildren, Kailyn and Kaizyn Mitchell.  Boyd Lane Roath will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is set for 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.
