Bunny Roy Fortune, 96, of Broken Bow, passed from this life into eternity, August 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
Roy was born, March 7, 1924, to Dee Fortune and Viney (Goodman) Fortune, in Haworth, Oklahoma.
He married Bessie Mae Rex, January 20, 1945, in Oklahoma City, they spent 58 years together before her passing in 2003.
Roy loved his garden, his farm, going on his weekly drive, and having a clean fence row. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors, and having a good dog by his side. He also enjoyed the yearly family vacations and deer hunting in Colorado. Roy always made time for his family and always made sure they were taken care of. The family will always remember him as being ornery as they come. He was a simple man, who enjoyed the simple things in life; He was truly unique and will be missed by all.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Mae Fortune; parents, Dee Fortune and Viney (Goodman) Warren; son-in-law, Louie Bothe; brothers, Bill, Dave, James, Debs, and Big Boy; sisters, Myrtle, Gertie, and Tina Mae.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Sandra Jo Bothe, and Connie Bryant; grandchildren, Greg Bothe, Miranda Bruner and husband, Mitchell; great grandchildren, Morgan Bothe and husband, Blaize, Meta Bothe, Emma Bothe, and Gage Bruner; as well as, many other family and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on, August 17, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home – Chapel.
A Graveside Service will be held on, August 18, 2020, at 11:00 AM, at the Holly Creek Cemetery.
